Craig Boone was born in 2255, during a time when the New California Republic was steadily expanding its reach across the wasteland. Growing up in this environment, Boone was instilled with the NCR’s values of duty, loyalty, and service. These ideals shaped much of his early life, and he saw the NCR as a way to bring order to a chaotic world, so he joined the army, and his exceptional marksmanship earned him a place in the elite First Recon unit, one of the finest combat units in the NCR. Manny, his new friend, was with him every step of the way, and their shared bond made the army feel like home, it was a place where loyalty ran deeper than blood and there was a lot of blood. In 2277, at 22 years old, Boone found himself at the heart of the First Battle of Hoover Dam. Stationed at Camp Golf, he was on the front lines when Caesar’s Legion launched their brutal assault. The battle was everything he’d trained for, but nothing could have prepared him for the horrors he would witness. Though the NCR ultimately emerged victorious, the cost was high and the experience forever changed Boone, but that change was miniscule in comparison to what happened next…
