I took apart a cheap toy radio from a girl's magazine. It turns out it contains a BK1068 single IC FM radio with lots of potential to modding. This IC seems to have quite a following in the DIY community, due to it's simplicity in requiring only minimal external components to function, plus it can run off of one CR2032 cell and does not require an external amplifier when using headphones.
