The Black Pit in 0:20 [TWR] - Kid Chameleon

The window for getting the 20 is pretty tight on this one, so every frame counts. As Skycutter, you will lose one frame of horizontal movement each time you:
• Land on the ground (landing on a ceiling or platform is ok)
• Leave the ground by jumping or running off (doing either from a ceiling or platform is ok)
• Duck / unduck
• You will lose multiple frames if you bounce on an enemy
Therefore, I only ever land on the ceiling through most of the level for no frames lost. I lose my Skycutter helmet at the very end on purpose to perform what are called "telepad pumps". Strangely, every time your speed decelerates to zero while standing on a telepad, one frame will be deducted from the time before you are teleported. Yeah, it's random and bizarre. As a result, you could teleport away a couple frames faster just by mashing left or right and that definitely helped reel in the 20. This exploit will not work with Skycutter.
I'd like to give a thank to Ouija Spider's IL speedrun for this level where he suggested using telepad pumps could probably get the IL time down to 20. I'm sure I would not have recognized nor tried to best it without seeing that comment, so thanks for the tip.
