The band was conceived in the Halloween of 2019 in Blackwall, neighborhood in London. George who has been a long-time rock/heavy metal enthusiast, since the very early days looked for a spooky feeling in his music, featuring acoustic melodies altering with heavy blasts and horrifying atmospheres as if they could fit to a soundtrack of a Tim Burton movie. George's childhood friend Alex joined the band as Bass player and together they continued working in the songwriting. The band was named The Blackwall, honoring the place where it was conceived.
With the recording of the first three tracks, they want to hit the scene and, to do it in the most professional way possible, they teamed-up with Finnish guru Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Amorphis, Sentenced, Theatre Of Tragedy) to mix and master the songs and with internationally renowned artist Travis Smith (Opeth, Katatonia, Riverside, Overkill) to create the cover artwork for their first EP, simply titled "The Blackwall" released by Club Inferno Ent. on April 5th, 2022.
It’s Gothic Rock characterised by Dark sounds and spooky atmospheres and also Heavy Metal hints for a music full of powerful passages, reflective moments, unexpected bass lines and often sounding Evil.
