The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle (Game Boy) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
A playthrough of Kemco's 1990 license-based action-puzzle game for the Nintendo Game Boy, The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle.
This early Game Boy release is a port of the 1989 NES game of the same name (https://youtu.be/vmqWmLZQRMo), though it features a different license than the original Japanese game did: just as the US NES game was actually a Roger Rabbit branded title in Japan, this Game Boy adaptation was first released under the name Mickey Mouse.
If you were a fan of the NES game, you'll find a lot to like here. The gameplay remains the same - you have to grabs all the carrots in each stage while avoiding roaming menaces like Wile E. Coyote, Daffy Duck, Sylvester the cat, and Yosemite Sam. You can drop safes on them and hit them with a spring loaded boxing gloves, but if they get you, it's back to the beginning of the stage.
I'm simple, addictive fun, and the short stages and easy-to-remember passwords are ideal for the handheld format. The graphics are clean and easy to read, the music is just as classic here as it was in the NES game, and overall, though it's a touch too easy for my liking, The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle can easily make hours passing feel like minutes. It's great.
