게임은 날짜 단위로 진행됩니다. 매일 다양한 종류의 카드가 주어지고, 이를 통해 자원 생산 건물, 병사 훈련소, 방어 타워 등 왕국을 성장시킬 수 있습니다. 건물 배치는 자원 지형에 따라 생산량이 달라지고, 방어 건물은 위치에 따라 공격 범위가 달라지므로 전략적인 판단이 요구되죠. 병사 건물은 전투 시작 시 병력을 자동으로 생산하며, 맵을 따라 전진하여 적을 공격하거나 몬스터를 처치하면서 자원을 수급할 수 있습니다.
전투는 실시간으로 펼쳐지는 필드 위에서 진행되며, 병사들의 수나 진형, 배치된 건물의 조합에 따라 다양한 변수가 발생합니다. 특히 인구 수에 따라 병사 수가 제한되기에, 주거 관련 건물의 확장도 중요 요소로 작용하죠. 전투 중에는 병사뿐 아니라 장비 아이템을 활용하여 병사의 능력을 향상시킬 수 있으며, 다양한 유닛과 유물 시스템으로 후반 전략의 깊이도 더해집니다.
건물은 업그레이드를 통해 새로운 유닛을 생산하거나 슬롯을 확장할 수 있으며, 카드 관리 기능을 통해 원하는 전략에 맞게 덱을 조정할 수도 있습니다. 성의 레벨을 높이면 새로운 건물이 해금되고, 더 다양한 전략을 구사할 수 있죠.

The City Of Hope is a tactical kingdom-builder where your deck of cards determines your kingdom’s fate. Build structures, train soldiers, and strategically fend off incoming enemies as you aim to reduce the enemy’s HP to zero—one day at a time.
Each in-game day presents a new set of random cards. Use them to construct resource-producing buildings, deploy defense towers, or train melee and ranged units. Resource buildings must be placed on matching terrain types, while towers auto-attack enemies within range—making placement critical.
When battle begins, your units spawn and march toward the enemy line, fighting monsters and rival soldiers along the way. The further they push, the more damage dealt to the enemy base. But beware—housing limits how many units you can field, so balance your population infrastructure accordingly.
Between battles, you’ll manage card effects, unlock new buildings by upgrading your castle, and customize your deck with various card commands like keep, lock, or remove. Equipment can enhance units, traders offer rare resources, and each match grants permanent upgrade points to further strengthen your kingdom.
It’s a rich mix of card drafting, base management, and real-time lane combat. With each turn feeling both strategic and impactful, The City Of Hope invites players to build smarter, fight harder, and survive longer—card by card.
