The combat in Dying Light - more realistic than expected!
5,030For an action-oriented game that has supernatural zombies, head-exploding kicks, and a "magical" grappling hook, the combat against human enemies looks surprisingly credible.
The animations look very lifelike and the fighters' behavior make sense, they don't just act like mindless blade fodder. The basic concepts in martial arts, like timing, distance, evasion, and counter attack are quite well represented in the gameplay mechanics.
I sure didn't expect to find much realism in a zombie-slaying parkour action game. :)
