The Combatribes and Alien Storm (Greg and James Beat 'Em Up!, Ep. 32)

04:09 Beginning
09:35 The Combatribes (Arcade; 1992)
1:26:00 Alien Storm (Arcade; 1992)
At long last, Greg and James are initiated into The Combatribes! We've been very curious about this game, because Technos' primary development team opted to work on it instead of the arcade version of Double Dragon III (which was farmed out to a third-party developer). Does the game justify that decision? Does it deserve a place in the beat 'em up pantheon alongside Technos' twin flagships, Double Dragon and Kunio-kun?
Then, with some time left over, we check out the arcade version of Sega's sci-fi beat 'em up Alien Storm, which has a lot of the same merits and demerits of the Golden Axe series!
Next up: Might FInal Fight (NES) and then Syodai Nekketsu Koha Kunio-kun, Technos' first SNES entry in the Kunio-kun series!
