The coronavirus is affecting people in mainland China as well as other regions of the world. From the coronavirus, there have been 560 confirmed deaths (most of them happened in mainland China) and around 28,000 people. China has also forced many people to stay home that are not sick yet, meaning fewer employees to work.

This has affected Nintendo with Switch production. With facilities being temporarily shut down for the next week, that means there will be fewer Nintendo Switch consoles to assemble in Foxconn's manufacturing plant in mainland China. Nintendo warns that shipments for the Switch, as well as the recently announced Animal Crossing: New Horizons special Switch bundle may be delayed due to not having as many to ship.
