So this week I'm talking about Persona's 25th anniversary event.

If you've been following this a lot, you probably know what happened. If not, I hope this video educates you about it and why people are so disappointed in Atlus for this.

With the launch of the Persona 25th anniversary event last year in September. Atlus JP promised 7 projects would be announced during the next year.

Many people thought that there would be a brand new game IE: Persona 6 or Persona 5 Spin off number 984. However, Atlus once again surprised us with a great many no new games this year.

Is This bad? Or is it good? That really depends. I mean we got some ports and the potential for Persona to go multiplatform as a series in the future. Both of these are excellent things as it means the games will reach more people.

However, that is a boon for new fans and potential fans. It leaves older fans in the dust for games. I think the key thing that this comes down to is poor communication and the inability to control expectations.

We live in an age of information where one thing can be spread in a matter of microseconds. For Persona and Atlus it was unfortunate that all 7 projects were only for Japan, not for everyone. What it comes down to is building expectations, and setting them.

Atlus has gotten a little better at transparency but also failed to be very very good at it. They did warn us two or three weeks prior that the Persona Super Live Wish 2022 concert would NOT have new game announcements. But that could've been announced beforehand. Regardless it was nice of them to say.

Either way, I hope everyone who is looking forward to the ports of Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable, enjoys them.
