The exoplanet "Methuselah," officially named PSR B1620-26 b, is considered the oldest ever discovered, at approximately 12.7 to 13 billion years old. This makes it almost as old as the universe itself, which is about 13.8 billion years old.
Methuselah formed when the universe was still young, challenging traditional models of planet formation.

Kapteyn b is often cited as the oldest habitable exoplanet ever discovered. It orbits a star in the Milky Way's halo population and is about 11.5 billion years old, which is impressive in itself.
But PSR B1620-26 b, nicknamed Methuselah, is even older—at approximately 12.7 to 13 billion years old—and is considered the oldest known exoplanet in the universe.

The age of distant exoplanets is usually estimated based on the age of the star they orbit, using methods such as spectroscopy, stellar evolution models, and star cluster analysis.
