TRAPPIST-1e
Scientists have announced the identification of a planet that may be the most Earth-like ever found outside our Solar System: TRAPPIST-1e, located about 40 light-years away. This discovery was made with the help of the James Webb Space Telescope, and initial data indicate that the planet may have an atmosphere rich in molecular nitrogen, similar to Earth's.

🔬 Why is TRAPPIST-1e so special?
It is in its star's habitable zone, a region where the temperature allows the existence of liquid water.
The star it orbits is a red dwarf, smaller and cooler than the Sun, but still capable of supporting life on nearby planets.
The detected atmosphere does not contain high concentrations of carbon dioxide, which rules out similarities with planets like Mars or Venus.
Furthermore, a parallel study using artificial intelligence identified 44 Earth-like planets in habitable zones throughout the galaxy, with a 99% accuracy rate. This could speed up the search for worlds that could truly harbor life.
