The Downfall of Legendary Primaries in Destiny 2
744Going from double primary to the start of Destiny 2, to the Lightfall era of ditching one primary with a special, to the current The Final Shape meta, where double special shines brighter than ever. Here's the video talking about why Legendary Primaries in Destiny 2 is really horrible right now, and you should start abandoning them after you watched this video.
This video took way too long to finish, I started working on this video on 2nd May. And it's been exactly a month for it to be published, I'm extremely happy with what I have accomplished, putting more efforts and hours into a project that I've truly enjoy working on is a very nice feeling. I still have a lot more improvements that can be made in the future, but this video is by far the best I can do right now. So, hope you guys can enjoy it!

Ok, the yapping part starts, talking about how I started going for double special.
I've started going for double special since Ghost of the Deep dungeon which was released just over 2 years ago. At that time, 1 primary + 1 special is what most players are using, but there was still a little glitch that makes rocking double special generate additional heavy ammo floating around, and I kinda want to test it out myself to see if it's actually true. So, I stumped across my inspiration and my only guide for going double special, Prelapse's video talking about how ammo generation works (you should check him out!). This video blow my mind, I learned so many more knowledge to understand how to "trick" the game into dropping whatever ammo I want. So, with the existence of the glitch and this newfound knowledge, I put it to the test on a lot of different activities, it was not the smoothest to make it work at first because running double special with no rocket sidearm is kinda hard to keep the ammo economy up in running, but in the end, I found my dream setup for testing double special, stasis hunter with stompee (dont ask why), and forbearance+ager scepter+the slammer, also special finisher mod to generate ammo if necessary. I tried using this setup on basically everything and it works perfectly well (maybe its because both weapons are add clear weapons so I don't need to burn through my ammos that quickly), this experience has taught me more stuff and become a lot more comfortable at going double special on even more setups and on other classes. So, when rocket sidearm released back in Season of the Wish, I was already very comfortable with double special, but this weapon just takes it a step forward and actually make me never touch legendary primaries ever again (except zaouli's bane because it was a heavy solar season). Even after the 25% ammo nerf before TFS launched, I was still using indebted kindness as much as I can. Then, since TFS launch, legendary primaries is basically dead to me, except imminence because it has the new Chaos Reshape perk, but I used it for a gifted convition hunter build and I've never used it again.
If you want to try running double special, you should try running it now, it's honestly really fun and challenging at first because you are still trying to figure out how to use it. But once you get used to it, you'll realize how bad primaries now.
BTW The Edge of Fate preview from D2 creators might make this video to be entirely voided, so be sure on the lookout and I’ll also be seeing some changes that’s being made in the new expansion to see if bungie does any favor to make legendary primaries not that horrible. More update will be shared through the Google doc.
