Devotional
The stone rolled away. Not to let the Light out, but to let our eyes behold it.This is not merely a man raised — this is the return of the King from His conquest in the depths. Jesus stands now as the Living One, holding the keys of Death and Hades. The realm of the dragon is no longer closed — it is conquered.Isaiah foresaw this moment: 'In that day, Yahweh will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent… and will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.' That day is Resurrection Sunday. And with His rising, He becomes the Firstborn of a New Creation, the Second Adam, unstained by the rebellion of Hermon or the ruin of Eden. The chaos waters are still — not because they have evaporated, but because the Dragon has been chained. The curse is broken. The blood speaks a better word.
Reflection
Jesus didn’t just escape death — He rewrote its meaning. What part of your story do you need to see through the lens of resurrection?
