At the barracks in Paderborn, staff at the resettlement office are preparing personnel for the future, with advice on hand for those affected by today's announcement. Throughout the day, regiments and units have been holding briefings and explaining options and giving pensions advice. There are many other groups available to help, the redundancies are expected to top the agenda and the AFF conference in Germany in June and organisations like SSAFA Forces Help are promising free courses to help. In today's announcement, it was made clear that personnel preparing for or deployed on active operations on the day notices are issued will not be made redundant.
