THE END DRAWS NEARETH | DS3 SL1 Routing/Learning, pt. 5
Gameplay starts at 46:15
Come for the Hoodie, Stay for the Strats
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sad to report that the final boss clear did NOT occur on stream, but it is another YouTube vod! I was determined to beat this game to-fucking-day. Well, at least Cinder. Nameless is the last boyo on the hitlist.

We knock out Princes (YUS!), but spend a lot of extensive time working through strats, farm, finding more weapons, and re-evaluating the run. I'm not sure that I agree with the idea of using a fire sword since the damage, at the end of the day, is split. Next time I do this, I'll try again with a raw weapon and go for pure damage, or I may even go back to the mountain of wikis and verify if refined does some good work. Fire was nice for early game, but late game forcing yourself to have to run around and redo your build wasn't a good time. And I wasted a GOOD chunk of stream time to running around re-mathing the weapons that were laid before me (we did the same with Princes.....again, I get why dude did it, but I think a better play would have been Broadsword to Fire Broadsword up to 7 (since early game is SO fire weak) to Raw Broadsword @ 10 [and I'm even still debating this because Raw drops scaling, so it's just pure damage out the gate. I HARD DISAGREE on this Deep Mace nonsense: I'd have rather used my souls for a faster-ish weapon and forgo the strike damage. Plus since we know later on that Lightning does so well, the Deep weapon just seems like an oddity placeholder. Stuff to work on-I also stop and talk A LOT).

All in all, the challenge was VERY fun, and you learn a lot about mechanics *very* quickly. Stamina is queen.

The Cinder fight was completed offline, and again is uploaded to here: final clock time was 26h 32 minutes. I don't think that's bad for a first time SL1 run at just under 200 total play hours!
