The End is In Sight! | The Last Of Us (2013, PS4)
0While this has been an overall positive experience playing The Last of Us, I should point out that there are quite a few parts I dislike about the game.
The survival setting is great; the enemies are realistically dangerous, and there's enough contrast between tight hallways, dark basements, and enough exploration to make this game feel less linear (even though it is).
This last section though just shows that no matter what, every time you're about to finally achieve something, another issue pops up to interfere with the story. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but after Left Behind's giant fetch quest for one measly medkit, it became obvious. Unlocked a door? Now there's a bloater. Ellie dropped the ladder? Now it breaks off the wall.
Some runarounds are just meaningless and don't provide any benefit to the story, except to make playtime run longer. Just saying.
