Mod Info (written by the mod author)
The basis of this mod is based on Total war Rome 2, but is adapted to bannerlord gameplay as well as set at a slightly earlier date than that game.
basic troop trees will end at tier 4, while the noble lines will still go to tier 6.
Ranged units in the basic line of most factions will end at tier 3 (except for factions that historically were ranged combat focused).
also not every faction will have one of every kind of unit, some factions won't have archers, others won't have cavalry. this will be based on historical evidence of what was the bulk of an army composition for that culture.
this way the player can strategize what surrounding factions they want to either recruit from or conquer to fill gaps in their army roster (just like it was done historically).
The troop tiers will also be different than vanilla, with more focus on skills than equipment. For example the Roman hastati and the Roman Principes will be nearly identically equipped (Principes will have slightly more armor), but the Principes will be more skilled fighters (again like it was historically).
the core idea is a skill difference of around 40 between tiers.
weaponry and armor will mixed across tiers (in a sensible way) instead of being tied to specific tiers like in the vanilla game.
(Note we are still in development/testing of this concept, so some things may be changed slightly)
