The Fifth Element is a 3rd person action game, where you alternate between playing Leeloo, whom can only perform melee combat, and Korben, who is equipped with a gun but is pretty bad in melee. The stages are pretty much large mazes, where you need to find items or buttons to be able to progress.

I actually like this game. The controls are a bit sketchy to begin with, but once you get used to it they work quite nice. The audio is also pretty good, and it looks alright for a PS1 game. It is a pretty solid title all in all. But damn, some jumps are just crazy dumb in this game... Sometimes, I can really understand where the hate for this game comes from.

I must also say, I am so glad we finally beat this game!
