What is Pokémon CrystalDust?
Pokémon CrystalDust is a project that started all the way back around 2010. It is a Pokémon Crystal remake using Pokémon Emerald as a base.
The premise is to remake the Gen. 2 game in a manner that is faithful to Game Freak's own way of creating Pokémon games. It's really meant to transmit this "what if Game Freak remade Pokémon Crystal on the GBA" feeling.
Its first versions were created using tools, hex modifications and what not. A practice that is known as "binary hacking".
Its v3, however, is a full reboot using the Pokémon Emerald Decompilation Project though, Pokeemerald.

Since this is just an alpha, it's still a tad unpolished and doesn't necessarily represent what certain things may look like in the final version of the hack.

You can use Floating IPS or ROM Patcher JS to apply it over a clean Pokémon Emerald (USA) ROM.
