The Flintstones: Big Trouble in Bedrock (Game Boy Advance) Playthrough
"The Flintstones: Big Trouble in Bedrock" for the Game Boy Advance, developed by H2O Entertainment and published by Conspiracy Entertainment, is an adventure game that brings the beloved Stone Age family, The Flintstones, to the handheld gaming platform.
In a daring mission, Fred is on a quest to rescue his close friend Barney from the clutches of the malevolent Dr. Sinister. Time is of the essence, and Fred must employ a range of unique Stone-Age tools, such as his trusty club and bowling ball, to reach Barney before it's too late.
The game suffers from various critical issues. Firstly, the controls are really bad, particularly the jump mechanic, which limits Fred's vertical leap significantly. This gets better when the double-jump is unlocked though.
The platforming segments can be very frustrating, leading to repeated falls and restarts. Cutscenes suffer from low-quality images and lackluster storytelling, failing to engage players. Boss fights lack challenge and often fail to provide a satisfying boss battle experience, especially in the initial world. Collectible weapons are mostly useless due to their limited duration and significant delay in usage. Even the best weapon, the bowling ball, suffers from this problem.
The game features poorly designed levels throughout. These issues persist from start to finish. Graphics are decent though.
Overall, the game is marred by numerous gameplay and presentation problems, making it a disappointing Flintstones title.
