It's been over a decade since Warner Bros. stepped in and helped save the Mortal Kombat franchise post Midway Games bankruptcy. With that in mind, reports suggest that Warner Bros might be letting go of the studio that's made the franchise the fighting-game juggernaut it is today. About a week ago, an all new article posted by CNBC claims that according to an 'insider source' WBGames is willing to part ways with several of their studios, including NetherRealm. Also, it seems like EA, Activision, and Take 2 interactive are indeed, interested in acquiring some of these studios, too. Personally, this is something that I think is worth discussing because the future of MK as we know it might be drastically changed if anything big like this were to go down.
