The game with the Best Intro EVER!?! - Mass Effect 3 Part 1
2Today we're starting Mass Effect 3 (finally!) and I think that the council now wish they'd listened to Shepard and her warnings about the Reapers because things are heating up! There's invasions, possible Deaths? People getting left behind and Shepard being tired of everyone's rubbish! So come and see (what I think is) a cinematic/gaming masterpiece unfold in todays episode troops!
In the last episode though? Well we ended Mass Effect 2 with the Arrival DLC and to sum up? The reapers were going to arrive a little earlier than expected, Dr Amanda Kenson (Admiral Hackett's friend) discovered the artefact that told them about this early invasion. Kenson and her crew got indoctrinated (Obviously!) and Shepard had to stop her and start up "The Project" herself, which meant aiming a giant asteroid -or small planet- into the Mass Relay to slow the Reapers down a little!
Although, once the Mass Relay was destroyed, that also meant that the entire solar system would've been taken out along with it, resulting in the death of 300,000 Batarians (Give or take a few). Then Shepard had a lovely chat with Harbinger about how she's only "Delayed the inevitable" and that they've to prepare for "The Arrival"! Which brings us straight to the start of Mass Effect 3!
I won't give everything away for those of you that haven't played the game before, but I 100% think that the beginning of Mass Effect 3 is probably the Best Ever intro to a game! It sets the atmosphere for the rest of the game, and really gives the sense of urgency that a galactic war would have (I can imagine anyway). So come and let me know if you agree with that opinion, and if not? Then what game do you think has the best intro?
Anyway, prepare yourselves for Lots of emotions, heaps of action, as well as Shepard finally showing signs of wear and tear after all these years of defending the Galaxy, she now has to do it again, and it is showing! I'd also love to hear what you think about the episode of course, or what you think of ME3 in general too! What do you think of the return of a certain character, or 2 certain characters really!
