The Gaming Backlog is Flawed
572The gaming backlog is flawed. Recently I was looking at my Steam library and thought to myself “Wow I have a lot of games to play”. Many I bought years ago but never got around to playing them, others I bought recently thinking it was a great deal and that I should pick it up for the wonderful price of £7. What It made me think about is the system that many of us use called the backlog. In the world of Booktube, you have the same sort of thing called a to-be-read list. What both of these have in common is that they are systems to keep track of everything you might be interested in or are interested in consuming. However, in both cases, it’s incredibly flawed and causes more issues than it solves. We have limited time on this earth, and we must be selective with how we spend it. I know that I have many games I want to play but being selective in what I choose is incredibly valuable but more than that, being content with my choices too.
