I decided to do something a little different for this video by putting together a live-looping track of one of my favorite Zelda character themes.
I achieved live looping by using Helgoboss's PlayTime plugin, which grants Reaper capabilities similar to Ableton's Session Mode. Combining that with the Novation LaunchPad X, I was able to trigger recordings and playbacks of 8 separate tracks in real time to put together this simple arrangement in a single take. The workflow can be a bit buggy at times, but it's a fun way to change up how one might approach music making in Reaper.
