Using a virtual machine and PCI passthrough, a Reddit user saw an “eject” option in Windows for a GTX 1050 Ti card. Out of curiosity, he clicked it – and everything fell apart. The system crashed, drivers had to be reinstalled, and the GPU had to be added to the machine from scratch. The moral of the story? Yes, Windows will allow you to do all sorts of stupid things… but that doesn’t mean you should.
