In our final frightfest interview, Andy is joined by Keith Boynton - the director of The Haunted Forest. With Keith, they talked about the pure joy of Halloween in America, how practical effects are just the best toy and his background as a director of drama and how he applied that to his debut horror production.

But the classic question is - what is the Haunted Forest? First off it received it's World Premiere at Frightfest 2025. On a deeper level, it follows Zach, a high-school senior obsessed with all things horror and Halloween, he lands his first job - as a scare actor at the famous Markoff’s Haunted Forest attraction in Maryland owned by his cousin. Zach soon makes friends with the band of other misfits who fuel the fear for expectant visitors. But after one of them dies tragically on the grounds, a series of strange killings begin, and Zach finds himself questioning his fascination with death and devotion to the macabre. Director Keith Boynton’s independent SCREAM is a bloody humorous scare-fest with a deadly serious thrill-ride intent.
