Narration:
The young knight attacked him with his sword. Hitting his armor, he noticed the myriad scratches in it. He pondered, that for this threat, whatever it was, he could never be prepared, with any kind of training. As he lost his head, where the headless collector placed it in his net.
The knights that were not trapped, walked to his place, unsure, afraid to trigger any other trap. With no formation, no organization, not knowing what their next step should be. As the headless collector held his axe, he was lost in the fog. And reappeared, exchanging only one blow at a time, before he disappeared again. As one of the knights made the wrong step, his leg was cut off, as his screams covered the sound of the steps of this otherworldly menace. His ally kneeled to help him, and then he appeared to cut his head as well.
The leader called for retreat. The ones that remained, relieved, ran towards him. However, only one managed to reach him, where he was releasing his companion from a trap. And he removes his helmet, so he can see. Then, his theomorphic face was revealed. The heart of the beast was pounding, heard from the distance in the fog. The headless menace had a way to know. Along with their released companion, the knights rushed to their horses. But an erupting net trapped their leader.
They looked back to order the horses to stop, as he instructed them to run away. He barked at them to warn the village of this real and dangerous threat, so they can come back prepared, and stronger.
As the headless collector got closer, with his heavy steps, and even heavier stroke of his heart, the theomorphic leader, knowing that he had no time to draw his sword to release himself, drew his knife instead. And screamed:
“You are not getting my face!”
As he scarred himself. Without even trying to escape. Enraged, which was seemingly obvious by just his steps, the headless moved faster towards him.
“You are not getting my face!”
He yelled, as he stabbed his knife in his amazingly colored eye. The headless was right next to him, and snatched his knife to throw it away. He groped the knight’s face.
“You..are not...getting...my face.”
He mumbled, as he bit his armor, shattering his symmetric denture.
With furious movements, the headless cut his head. He removed his one eye, the one part that wasn’t damaged, as he put his head down, without even bothering to add it to his collection.
Gloomy, with spiritless steps, he returned to the forest, to prepare the traps for his next victims.
