The Honeymoon that should have lasted forever, marriages of 1st vs. 2nd Adam

If one is a creationist, one automatically believes in ID. But the converse is not necessarily true. One could believe in ID, but not in creationism (like Michael Behe).
ID says life is intelligently designed, creationism says "life is intelligently designed, but also cursed and in need of a Savior."
Adam and Eve could have lived out a honeymoon that lasted forever, but then they sinned by wanting to be God and therefore they did not love God with all their heart and all their soul.
The desire for "happily ever after", like our desire for health, is written in our biology and is ingrained in us and expressed in our stories and myths. It's not so much that our culture makes us desire "happily ever after" as much as our culture is driven by our desire to go back to the Eden from which we were expelled.
All romances will sadly end because of the 1st Adam's sin and the fact of death.
Jesus, the 2nd Adam, and his Bride (the church) are the only romance that will truly last forever. Hard as it may be to comprehend, Romantic love is actually an imperfect metaphor for something in the universe that is far greater and at the root of reality because "God is Love".
