After I became a Christian over 40 years ago, I was a Theistic evolutionist. I then became an Old Earth Creationist, then a Young Earth Creationist.

My dear friend Dapper Dinosaur asked to know why I'm a believer in a Young Fossil Record (YFRC). That makes me a Young Fossil Record Creationist (YFRC).

I'm also a Young Life Creationist (YLC), a Young Earth Creationist (YEC), and a Young Cosmos Creationist (YCC).

So this video is for Dapper Dino.

I outline some of the reasons, and why I insist if Abiogenesists and Evolutionists appeal promissory notes for their theories, then so can creationists. However, I will emphatically say the trend of observational and experimental data keeps getting more favorable for creationists and hence that is a reason to keep the faith.

The episode will cover some general claims, will talk briefly about developments with the Genetic Entropy hypothesis but then will deal with one class of Radiometric Dating.

Sal will be mildly critical of the standard talking point that "radiometric dating is unreliable" when in fact a major YEC argument counts on C14 dating being reasonably reliable. Also, C14 dating may be incompatible with accelerated nuclear decay claims of other YECs!

This episode will cover recent experiments that negate C14 contamination by using the gelatinization process to extract collagens from dinosaurs claims as well as the accuracy of the latest Accelerator Mass Spectrometers. Also some passing mention will be made about the infeasibility of induced C14 isotopes through Thorium and Uranium decay showing this is NOT a good explanation. Youth of the fossil record is a credible explanation given the problems of sedimentary deposition over millions of years and the experimental results of the Colorado School of Mines.
