The "Infinite" Golds Exploit in Faxanadu for the NES - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
6,270There's a very easy exploit you can perform at the beginning of Faxanadu for the NES: a game nobody knows how to pronounce. It involves getting 1500 Golds from the king multiple times, and it's quite simple.
At the start of the game after you acquire the Ring of Elf, you're supposed to see the King of Eolis who gives you 1500 Golds to prepare for your journey, and this all happens quite naturally and is the logical progression for the casual player.
However, what you may not know is that the King is programmed to give you 1500 Golds any time you approach him with the Ring of Elf and 0 Golds in your pocket. So in other words, once you get your first 1500 Golds, you can go spend literally all of it, then visit the King again, and he will give you another 1500 Golds as if he's forgotten who you are.
And you can do this any number of times as long as you have the Ring of Elf and 0 Golds. A good strategy is to use the first 1500 Golds to buy a Hand Dagger and the Deluge spell, then spend all of your money on J-Keys, then get another 1500 Golds, sell some of your keys, then buy a few Elixirs and Red Potions.
Anyway, this glitch is super easy to exploit, and Faxanadu on the NES is worth buying if you're a casual collector with some spare Golds.
