The Kraid Quick Kill in Super Metroid (SNES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
1,224In Super Metroid for the SNES, there's a fairly simple trick you can use to defeat Kraid super quick. And it's not that hard to pull off!
For the fast Kraid fight, I recommend deactivating the Spazer, since having a wider charge shot in this fight makes it more likely to get blocked by Kraid's arm, but you can still execute the trick just fine if you have it turned on.
When you enter Kraid's room, charge your Charge Beam and wait for him to stop moving. Once he's done throwing rocks and stuff, shoot him in the eyes with your charge shot. This will cause him to open his mouth.
Right after you shoot him in the eyes with your Charge Beam, switch to Super Missiles. The Charge Beam to the face will cause his eyes to flash, and you want to jump and shoot a Super Missile right about when his eyes are done flashing. The goal here is to hit him in the mouth with a Super Missile when his mouth is HALFWAY OPEN. If you hit him with just the right timing, it will stun him with his mouth open, allowing you to pump three more Super Missiles onto his tongue.
So if you stun him with a Super Missile, you can hit him in the mouth with three more Super Missiles and he will be defeated. Congratulations! You've just pulled off the Kraid Quick Kill in Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
Once you execute the quick kill, the camera will be fixed in place for whatever reason, and will not follow Samus as she walks to the other side of the room. This glitch fixes itself once you enter a door, so you can either leave to the left and come back, or you can hold Right on the D-Pad while jumping and shooting and this should eventually get you into the room with the Varia Suit.
