The Last Blade playthrough (Neo Geo X) (1CC)
16Playthrough with Kaede. My capture card has some issues whilst recording this, which is why the game's intro stutters several times at the start. The intro can be seen again at the end of the video without any issues. This game was released in 1997. Despite being a weapons-based fighter, no characters from Samurai Shodown make an appearance, instead it features an all-new cast of characters, all of which have very detailed sprites and animations.
There are two different gameplay styles to choose from: the speed or power. Choosing speed lets you pull of combos more easily, but you'll do less damage. I chose power since I prefer having more attack strength. Compared to the sequel this game is pretty easy for the most part, only the final boss poses much of a challenge.
Kaede has an alternate version you can use known as "Awakened Kaede", where his hair goes yellow and his moves look different and do more damage. You can use this alternate version by pressing the B, C and D buttons together when the super bar is full, but it comes at a price: his health drains when he's in this form. You don't really need it to beat the CPU in this game though, so I only used it once for this playthrough.
