The Last of Us Part 1 Best/Optimized Settings For Low VRAM/End GPUs | GTX 1060 3GB
In order to play the game properly and eliminate any potential crashes due to Vram and Ram over usage, every texture setting needs to be set to low for at least 4GB GPUs and lower. Other settings like ambient occlusion and reflections improve visuals and are worth to be enabled, even if the introduce a mild performance penalty on the lower settings. Texture quality, in my opinion, is unacceptable at low settings, as we have seen many games having much better-looking textures while being less taxing on the Vram and Ram.
I have also replaced the original oo2core_9_win64.dll file with a different version from FIFA 23, but it did not have any impact on the performance nor on the Ram usage.
IMPORTANT: Let the game compile the shaders before playing.
