The enemy has made his fatal mistake by drawing Link into the Dark World. By simply holding the Moon Pearl Link is able to retain his human form in the corrupted Golden Land. With that being done, Link is now free to rescue the seven maidens banished to the dungeons.

The Palace of Darkness is a straightforward introduction to the rest of the game- the difficulty ramps up significantly from here on out. The end boss of the dungeon isn't too difficult, however- a couple strikes of the hammer or carefully placed bombs will shatter the mask. Then it's fair game!
