Be sure to collect the treasures shown at the start before going for the Desert Palace- the Ice rod is sure to come in extremely useful on the end boss. You WILL need the Book of Mudora to gain access to this dungeon, so head for the library once donning the Pegasus Boots.

The simplistic Desert Palace should not take very long to complete, there are a small amount of rooms within the complex, which gives it a linear feel. The second part of the dungeon is off-limits until you acquire the Power Gloves, which allow you to move the small rocks blocking the second entrance.
