Episode 122: Confrontating Zant
Boss: Usurper King ZANT
Zant is my favorite boss.
The last phase of Zant could have been alittle better.
strategy:
You'll start off the battle in the first boss's room. Dodge Zant's attack and throw your gale boomerang to him. When he's on land slash him with your sword. Do this once again and the second phase will start. In the second phase, Zant will try to get you off the platform by jumping wildly on it. Equip the iron boots, so you won't fall into the lava. After that Zant will fire his energy bolts to you. Block them with your shield. When he's done attacking, unequip your iron boots and try to attack him with your sword. The third phase takes place in the boss room of the water temple. Equip the zora armor and the iron boots. In the center of the room a large Zant mask appears with Zant inside of it. When he shows himself, he'll fire his energy bolts again. Dodge them and clawshot him afterwards. After you dragged him out of the mask, strike him with your sword. After that 4 large Zant masks will appear. Zant will be inside one of the mask. When you find him, just do the same like you did previous time. At the fourth phase Zant jumps around on the pillars and fires energy bolts at you after a while. Dodge the energy bolts and roll into the pillar Zant is standing on twice. He'll then fall off giving you the opportunity to strike him. Do this once again and the fifth phase will start. In the fifth phase, Zant grows gigantically and tries to crush you. Dodge Zant and throw your ball & chain to his giant feet. He will then shrink, giving you the opportunity to strike. After the fifth phase, the final phase starts. In this phase Zant tries to attack you with his swords by teleporting around you. When he's tries to slash, you can do a spin attack, a back slice or just slash him. When he's doing a spin attack try to dodge or block the attack. It's best to dodge, because if you block the attack you might get stuck into the wall and you'll get damaged. Keep attacking and he'll finally be dead.
