So I was a Super Nintendo Kid, which means I was a Super Castlevania 4 kid, and while I had a Sega Genesis, I only had like 2 games for it, and never had even heard of Castlevania: Bloodlines. Well in this gameplay video, we do a Castlevania Bloodlines Eric playthrough. Oh did I mention this castlevania game is WAY different than any other game in the series? Let me break it down.
In Castlevania Bloodlines you collect Gems instead of hearts. The subweapons are different, the castle is only one level, you travel all over the world, you dont play as a Belmont, there are two different playable characters, the list goes on and on. That leads my co-host and I to believe that the game was actually developed by a completely different group of people at Konami, like perhaps they got the guys who were contracted out to do their flooring to develop it for them? When you hire the Loredo Lorenzo twins, you always get the best. Whether its vinyl siding, or a Castlevania game.
While Castlevania Bloodlines is super different, it is still a pretty great game. We have a really fun time playing through a large amount of the game as Eric, using his awesome spear to kill enemies from a distance, and his super jump to get out of tough situations. Oh yeah, he has a super jump lol.
