Upon installing MacOS Monterey, some Macs with T2 security chips were unable to start. Apple says it has encountered the issue only with a “very small percentage” of users. Users of Macs running Monterey will be able to upgrade their firmware as well. There is no word on whether you’ll have to send your Mac in for service, but it could ruin your Monterey vacation.
