Director Shinohara Kenta: In this stop motion shoot, I took 108 frames, took 7 hours to shoot, and about 6 hours to edit. Dolls aren’t specially made for stop motion, since they don’t have joints. To make this stop motion work out, I made Ada sit and wave her hand. It is difficult to make a doll pose because of its softness, so I used a tank to secure the posture. It took so much time shooting a doll with no joints… Since I couldn’t perfectly put each pose in place, I had to search for the timing where the doll was still. Regularly, in shooting a doll, we would do a little "surgery" and put joints inside the arms and legs to make them pose the way we want them to. However, we couldn’t convert Ada for various reasons. So, I shot each frame speedily before the posture changed.
