I still cannot believe I very impulsively decided to jump into an animation project that took 18 hour without a thought, after not animating in YEARS! Of all the things to spark my inspiration, I never thought it would be a breakdancing cat meme from Sims hahaha!
I love making progress videos on how things are made, after all, how could I not? I'm a Speedpaint artist after all, hahah it's what I do haha XD and it's just so cool to see the process of animation, how something even as simple, as short as 13 seconds long, has SO MUCH THOUGHT AND WORK PUT INTO IT! especially cuz I hardly do tween animation at all, I'm a frame by frame artist for life, only using tweening for little accents or adjustments. Puppeteer rigging is easier and less work, but I just hate how limited it is, and the look of it unless done really really well. I just love the freedoms of frame by frame, and the look of it, even when chopping it's just so nice.
I'm glad I actually committed to this. took me three days to get the animation done with a total of 18 hours, and I'm not sure how many drawings are in this but between the final, the and the sketches and rough keyframes, it's a ton, as all animation is.
i'm hoping this is the push I needed to get my butt back into creating again. Tho I do want to take it pretty easy from here on out tho, I don't want to grind views and abide by an upload schedule or anything like I useto, I'm still a little burnt out from constant creating, BUT if I make something and have something to post, I will post it! And I do mainly want to focus on animation, as painting is still a bit of a struggle for me, and cuz animation takes ages, don't expect frequent uploads, so it may take a bit between videos, but again, if I make something, I'll gladly post it ^_^ Thank you all for sticking around, I hope you enjoy this video!
