TLDR:
1) Thaumaturge becomes an equivalent 7-8AP cost card at 600-800 max mana pool and 9-12 hero hits or 1.1-1.4min (or at about the 13-16min mark)
2) Thaumaturge becomes an equivalent 10-13AP cost card at 900-1425 and up max mana and 12-27 or 9.8-12.6 minutes and up (or at about the 20-23min mark)
3) It takes about 8-10 minutes to acquire 7000 gold (the cost of Thaumaturge)
4) While Thaumaturge takes time till the late early/early mid game to "act like" another similar 7AP cost card, it can develop into a 10-13AP card by the late mid/early late game and "free up" some AP for other cards
5) By synergizing with the Deadly Mana gem and Mana-flow Acolyte, extra power and value can be extracted from your cards, gems and resource (mana)
