The Mediocre Zone | The Surge (2017) Grind Till You Drop From Boredom
1grind till you drop ... thats the motto of this tedious game ... you grind till you hit a Core Lock so you have to level up to open that lock and progress ... grind till crazy ... its one of those games that starts ehm kinda intriguing , pulling you in ... only to present grinding as a feature ... and running back and forth ...back and forth "like crazy" ....back and forth "why do i have to" - The player screams ... a game mechanic that "Dungeon Siege 2" started , killing its Ip in the process ... no longer you went on wards into adventure ... you became a errand boy for EXP ...
Same with combat ... that became a awful meh of stamina bar energy awfulness
Starting to hate new RPGs , in the older ones you knew where to go next ... here you are left clueless to wander off ... to waste your precious time , till you hit a core wall to grind for a door key ... and so this lands into the Mediocre Zone ... looked fine , but the more you play it the more awful it becomes
and the most funniest thing is ... this is Deck 13 second clone ... more like they are a company that does Knock offs, first from LucasArts-like Adventure Games ...those where good ... they filled the void when Xbox 360 nearly killed the Adventure Genre with dead brain FPS games ... but when they went 180 and became a RPG company jezz ... its not like theirs games lack quality ... but well , they are boring af
oh, and the ending is awful ... you die crawling to your wheelchair haha

This video presents 8h of my wasted time on this ... neatly cut to 3h35m46s ... till we hit chapter 2 , a new hub with new friends ... and your brain starts to go "i could have played something else" ... by the way people where suckered so much by this Cyberpunk Souls RPG that it sold enough ... to spit a sequel that will hit in 2019
