Captivating the setting of war in a realistic matter that manages to grasp the true nature of it is a truly difficult task. Polish video game studio "Pixelated milk" stood up to the task by delivering a game regarding the lesser known operation tempest in Poland's capital; Warsaw. A final uprising against the the invading Nazi forces from the second world war.

Using events to paint a bleak and destroyed city, making combat feel difficult and terrifying and presenting the people involved in an interesting way are all tactics WARSAW utilizes. Join me as I take a look at the mood and voice acting in this bleak gem of a game!

Thanks for watching and reading the description. This video was a bit of a weird one for me. The topic is of a more realistic kind, and I hope i managed to convey the nature of it earnestly, while also not making it too downbeat to watch. It was a tricky project to work on, but I am glad it's out. Initially this project started as just me poking fun at the voice lines of the game, and it was really supposed to be just a smaller type of video. However, as I worked on it I found out I wanted to say more and more about the game, and eventually it mutated into me trying to find translators for the game and depicting the game more as a whole, apart from the core gameplay.

Thanks for all the translators who were willing to give it a shot, they are all very lovely people:

My dad. He doesn't have a social media but he wants you all to save the cacti of the world. Think about that next time you see a dying cactus!

Also a warm thanks to my busy uncle.

Music:
WARSAW: Main menu theme
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_hlnw3TCWk&t=12s
A soft and gentle tune. A contrast to the harsh times that await you.

Resident evil 3: Nemesis. City of ruin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIsiZQVSFfE
Hey look at me, using a song that is almost topical... kinda.
Sad and depicting a ruined state, almost eerily fitting.

Theme 3 battle
The WARSAW OST is rather elusive and hard to find online. Can't really provide you with a link there. Sorry.

Puinch out Wii: Von Kaiser theme.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Adl-e-pz1b4
You know, Von Kaiser was always my favorite boxer in punch out. Dramatic theme that still isn't too heavy, I hope it's not too much on the nose.

Octopath traveler: Creeping dead
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pmbaipq1tY&list=PLaf3Kq3m9pSNT3rnGGYPzjoFN-DCiEYuB&index=43&t=0s
Two times in a row I have used the octopath traveler OST. I doubt it will be my last. Maybe the Calamity fans and Octopath fans can have a standoff?
This theme does wonders for your tabletop sessions, I highly recommend using it.

The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth OST Tandava (Boss)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72AeSF2xY2E
Tense, absurd and over the top. Kinda fits Marian?

WARSAW: Hideout theme

We interrupt this transmission to inform you that we actually found a link this time. Who would have guessed!
