The "Musicruise" Sound Test in Ninja Gaiden II NES - Retrogaming Easter Eggs
454For some reason, Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos has not one, not two, not seven, but THREE different sound tests, and ONE OF THEM IS GREAT!
On the title screen, hold UP, LEFT, SELECT, A, and B then press Start and this will bring you to a sound test with a chibi version of Ryu on it! That's cute and all, but...
If you wait for the title screen to fade away, then press start to bring up the title screen again, you can do the code! And THIS time, there will be a chibi Irene on the sound test! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
If you wait for the title screen to fade away TWICE, and on the THIRD instance of the title screen, you do the SAME CODE, you will now be granted access to the "Musicruise" sound test and nobody knows what that means!
But this Musicruise Sound Test shows the volume of each of the different sound channels, which is very neat. AND the songs are displayed by name rather than just by their number, and there will be a chibi version of Ryu AND Irene!
