Three Variations of the Konami Code in Operation C (Game Boy) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs #konamicode
844Operation C is a short but surprisingly fun (and challenging) Contra game for the Nintendo Game Boy. And just like you might expect, you can use the infamous Konami Code on the title screen for varying effects... sort of!
Everyone remembers the Konami Code: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A. It's the code that lets you start with 30 extra lives in the original Contra on NES. I made a COOL and EDUCATIONAL video about it here - https://youtube.com/shorts/nSLH8SQ145U?feature=share
In Operation C, there are three codes you can enter on the title screen, and they're all similar to the Konami Code, but not quite exactly the Konami Code.
For the Level Select code, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A, Start on the title screen. Now you can choose which level you start on! There are only four!
To start with 9 extra lives instead of the normal 2, press Up, Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Right, Start on the title screen.
Lastly, if you just want to play around with the Sound Test, press Up, Down, Left, Right, A, B, Start at the title screen.
