OUYA support has ceased and initially I thought none of the games would run as I usually launched the games with the O button. Shown in the video it only produces this nagging server error screen.

But after filming the first bit of this video I discovered it is still possible to launch some of the games using the U key.
Still you get presented the annoying “can’t connect to the server” nag though.

This behavior is grating and will cause my OUYA to be boxed up - installing an alternative OS is mweh - not a good experience.

This just illustrates what happens to our digital DRM locked “property”, the games we bought aren’t ours they were never ours. Especially when endless dial home verification is employed to satisfy the license holders.

If you buy digital contact consider it leased or rented. The moment you can’t verify ownership it’s over and done with. Digital games should NEVER be full price as it’s just a rental.
