For the record, the opening to this is a little boring. I promise it gets better a minute in.

Okay, so this was a fun distraction to work on. I'm putting this in the same category as the Stubbs remasters- this is something I would like to continue doing and maybe someday have a full Music of the Spheres big band collection. That said, that's not an immediate project. I'll absolutely work on it here and there over the next little while, but don't expect anything more than a track every now and then as I go down the list.

I feel a little weird being the one making this because I know next to nothing about jazz- this is less of a an actual jazz arrangement and more of what a jazz-novice "thinks" jazz sounds like.

Oh, I should probably mention - this was created by adapting the orchestral sheet music from the original Music of the Spheres recording sessions at Abbey Road in 2012. Any notes that are "wrong" are because I intentionally changed them. Also, because of this, I cannot distribute the sheet music for this (which does exist).

If I do finish the set, I'll absolutely put the whole thing on Bandcamp/Spotify/Apple Music, etc. but for now, I won't be offering any downloads for this as doing so could (potentially) break my agreement with Bungie.

If you don't get the title, google "The Lydian Chromatic Concept."

"Music of the Spheres" was composed by Martin O'Donnell, Michael Salvatori, and Paul McCartney.
Original orchestrations by Mark McKenzie.
Arranged for big band by Owen Spence.
