That's right, it's Rimworld. A relatively accessible colony sim with 10 years of development behind it. This is part one, if you want to see the whole thing this is the place to start.
This is livestream one of what I hope to be a successful save, the PILL PALS! This is an all-waster run in heavily polluted terrain. God I hope I get enough yao-yao to keep these people from killing eachother.
This will use the crashlanded senario, with 3 unwilling colonists, but beyond that we'll have to check that biome when it generates and aim for the best.
We're using every single official expansion (including anomaly), but no mods. I'll random up playable pawns at the beginning and develop an ideologion as time progresses. Hopefully we'll not die too quick.
Rimworld is a game from the Canadian studio Ludeon. It's a colony sim that captures some of the feel of dwarf fortress without requiring photographic memory of what the ascii characters look like. The main goal of the game (if there really is a goal) is to get off the planet.
This is not a tutorial on how to play rimworld, but I will explain why I'm doing stuff as it happens. If you got questions ask them in the comments and I'll do my best.
Don't look too hard at the politics of this game. There's a reason it's called war crimes simulator.
