Information about this experiment:

My brother and I did this little experiment in which we drew one drawing with the idea of redrawing every new copy, example: I draw a circle and my brother tries to replicate the same drawing and then I copy his copy again and so on and so on. Before we began this experiment, we made a few rules, these being: No erasers, errors have to be drawn, include everything even if it results in distortion, no correction (draw exactly what you see). My brother was first to begin and at first, it seems as a pretty decent copy from the original. Now, it was my turn and we were at the second drawing (the original is called "Drawing: 0" and as such didn't count as no.1) and I drew my brother's new version. After 10 times of repeating this process, we indeed noticed extreme distortion/abstraction. Yet, we observed, copied the last version of the drawing and in our mind, this new version wasn't exactly wrong. Around number 20 we forgot what the original looked like.

Conclusion: This was a fun experiment with fascinating results, I do not know a proper name for it so I went with "The Ping-Pong Experiment".
Indeed, the drawing became abstract and it seems as if new figures, new words/letters just popped up. It is also interesting to think about what the consequences are by copying a drawing which in turn, get's copied as well.
In that sense we could say that it may reveal that even copying to the extreme can result in some strange/new/original creation.

I wouldn't mind making more drawings that use this specific system, in fact, a viewer of this video (such as you, person who's reading this) is able to redraw this drawing as well (starting from the latest version). You (the reader) can even continue this experiment and take the torch. This might result in some sort of "art family tree". In which multiple people copy the last version of this drawing resulting in a 1000 offspring (so to speak). A 1000 is rather extreme but who knows?

Thanks for watching and reading this rather long text.
